Here is some exciting news. Congress has passed new legislation that extends and expands the home buyer tax credit program as part of its plan to stimulate the U.S. housing market:
The First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit has been extended until April 30, 2010. Qualifying first time home buyers can receive a tax credit of up to $8,000. This new legislation has also been expanded to grant a tax credit of up to $6,500 to current home owners purchasing a new or existing home between November 7, 2009 and April 30, 2010.
